The Get Checking National program has developed educator
standards to ensure that the highest-level, qualified educators
are available to provide Get Checking classes. Highly qualified
educators are essential to providing crucial information and developing
the skills needed for individuals to build a solid foundation of
financial basics. Mastery of these financial basics will allow consumers
to take the next steps to participation in the financial mainstream.
Get Checking educators must be certified by the national
Get Checking initiative before they can begin offering classes.
The Get Checking National Program has identified the
following critical objectives:
- To raise the level of personal financial literacy
for individuals
- To identify and certify educators of the highest
standards
- To ensure that educators demonstrate the highest
degree of proficiency
- To assist in the growth and success of the Get
Checking program
- To ensure program results are measurable and program
impact quantifiable
- To provide opportunities for successful graduates
of Get Checking to access mainstream financial services
