In the first part of the class, you will learn:
- How to qualify for opening an account through the
Get Checking program
- How U.S, Financial Institutions (Banks and Credit
Unions) work
- About Your Savings and Checking Account Options
In the second part of the class, you will learn:
- How to manage a checking account; write checks;
make deposits; use a check register; and balance your financial
statements
In the final part of the class, you will learn:
- How to create your personal financial plan: spending
plans; setting goals; savings plans to help you achieve your goals;
effective record keeping
- How having your own savings and checking accounts
can help you plan and track expenses
- How your credit rating and credit score is determined
- How an account relationship can assist you in establishing
a credit history or help improve your existing credit history
At the end of the class, you will take a brief written
examination to earn your Certificate of Completion. |
